WHAT IS CBD OIL?
Cannabidiol or CBD is one of the most exciting restorative compounds available today, and consumers worldwide are discovering its wellness benefits.
CBD is a cannabinoid, a class of over 100 chemical compounds present in the cannabis plant, including marijuana and hemp. Found in the cannabis plant’s flowers, seeds, and stalks, CBD can be extracted from the plant as part of its cannabis oil.
This oil can then be processed into a number of CBD supplements that can be used to boost wellness and the body’s ability to maintain balance. When CBD oil is extracted from low-THC hemp, the resulting products are non-psychoactive and safe to use by everyone.

HOW CAN I USE CBD ON MY PATIENTS?
These CBD oil products can be given to patients to help them achieve wellbeing by promoting proper sleep, appetite, metabolism, immune response, and more.
When CBD oil products are used, plant-based cannabinoids or phytocannabinoids like CBD are absorbed by the body where they make their way to the bloodstream and are transported throughout the body to interact with special cannabinoid receptors in the central and peripheral nervous systems.
The neural communication network that uses these cannabinoid neurotransmitters, known as the endocannabinoid system, plays a critical role in the nervous system’s normal functioning. Endocannabinoids such as anandamide and 2-AG function as neurotransmitters, sending chemical messages between nerve cells throughout the nervous system.
Phytocannabinoids mimic the roles of the body’s endogenous (naturally-occurring) cannabinoids like anandamide and 2-AG. CBD and THC’s chemical structures are similar to those of 2-AG and anandamide, allowing us to use them to manipulate the endocannabinoid system to achieve beneficial effects in the body.
CBD oil products come in a variety of consumption types, such as capsules, tinctures, topical salves, vaporizers, pure hemp oil oral applicators, and more. These daily use products provide all the benefits of CBD with none of the worry over THC from other medical marijuana products.

BUT IS CBD LEGAL?
Hemp products, including nutritional supplements, are legal in the U.S. as long as they are manufactured using imported hemp. Hemp is defined in the U.S. has any cannabis plant containing 0.3% THC per dry weight or less. At these levels, the THC in hemp-derived CBD oil products is far too low to produce psychoactive effects in humans.
Because our products are derived from low-THC hemp, they are federally legal in the U.S. and in over 40 countries internationally. However, we suggest you check your local laws to see if CBD oil products have any special restrictions where you have your practice.
