What is TheraBand?
TheraBand, headquartered in Akron, Ohio, is the world’s top line of elastic resistance bands. These bands come in progressive strengths to provide a variety of resistance levels.
How old is the TheraBand brand?
TheraBand began in 1978, initially introduced by The Hygienic Corporation/Performance Health. For over 40 years, clinicians have trusted the TheraBand name.
What does each TheraBand color mean?
The varying colors indicate different resistance/strength levels of each TheraBand. For example, tan is the lightest level, while gold is the toughest. The resistance in kilograms at 200 percent elongation varies from 1.5 up to 9.5, and the colors (from weakest to strongest) are tan, yellow, red, green, blue, black, silver, and gold.
What kind of exercises can I do with TheraBand?
The types of exercises you can do with TheraBand are countless. You can get a full-body workout with TheraBand, including back and glute strengthening, biceps and triceps curls, leg lifts and extensions, shoulder and posture exercises, as well as various stretches.
