I appreciate all the support over the last 2 years while setting up my new practice. I have had successful results with over 90-95% of my patients with disc injuries/ neck/ back pain in utilizing the DTS table as a stand alone treatment. I will be honest- it was a tough decision initially because of the financial investment/ commitment while I was starting practice. I am glad that I decided to integrate the DTS into my practice from the start because of the referrals and the wonderful response from my patients. Thanks again for all your help over the last 2 years and continued support.

Kinesiology Tape
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
How long can you wear kinesiology tape?
Kinesiology tape is typically worn for up to five days, depending on the brand and individual needs of the patient. If the injury persists after 5 days, remove the therapeutic tape, clean the area and reapply. Please note, kinesiology tape should not be applied directly over open wounds or cuts.
What are the benefits of wearing kinesiology tape?
The primary benefit of using kinesiology tape like Kinesio Tape or Rock Tape is to provide stability and support for soft tissue during the injury recovery process. Kinesiology tape also provides pain relief, increases circulation to the affected area, improves joint mobility, reduces swelling and inflammation, and helps with lymphatic drainage. Additionally, athletic support tape can help redirect muscles to reduce the risk of re-injury and improve overall performance.
Who should use kinesiology tape?
Kinesiology tape is beneficial for anyone experiencing musculoskeletal pain, discomfort, or instability. Especially helpful for athletes who perform repetitive motions like running, weightlifting, or contact sports, athletic tape provides support and improves performance. Kinesiology tape is also extremely effective for managing a variety of conditions such as plantar fasciitis or carpal tunnel syndrome. Scriphessco proudly offers quality kinesiology tape from brands like SpiderTech, KT Tape, and Theraband.
What are some tips for applying kinesiology tape?
When applying kinesiology tape, first clean the skin and dry it thoroughly. Apply the end of the tape to your skin before stretching and removing the remaining liner. Gently rub the tape's end to create a secure bond. Stretch it up to 50-65% of its length to get the right amount of compression. Take care to not overstretch the tape as too much pressure can limit mobility. Finally, allow at least 10 minutes for the adhesive on the tape to adhere before engaging in any activity.
When should you not use kinesiology tape?
Kinesiology tape should not be used in areas of the body prone to numbness, tingling, or swelling. Therapeutic tape is also not recommended for people with diabetes or any other conditions where skin integrity is compromised. Additionally, avoid using kinesiology tape over open wounds, cuts, sores as it can cause irritation and delay healing time.
Are there any precautions I should take when using kinesiology tape?
Consult your healthcare professional before using therapeutic tape, especially if you are pregnant or have a serious pre-existing medical condition. If you have adhesive allergies consult the brand's inserted instructions for the type of adhesive used in the product. If skin irritation of any sort occurs, remove the tape and discontinue use immediately.
